Join us in Belfast, Northern Ireland for the fourth European Marine Science Educators Association (EMSEA) Conference 2016 – an exciting and imaginative collaboration opportunity for educators, researchers, influencers and anyone else with a passion for communicating the importance of our ocean.
The event will take place at Titanic Belfast between Tuesday 4th October and Friday 7th October 2016.
Titanic Belfast is Northern Ireland’s centre of excellence for ocean literacy, having recently been awarded both the prestigious Sandford Award for Heritage Education and the kitemark for excellence in Learning Outside the Classroom.
Delegates will have an opportunity to explore this wonderful facility, and to network with marine scientists, marine science educators, teachers and ocean policy-makers from around the globe. The four day programme will provide a perfect platform to explore issues of common interest, share successful practices and experiences, debate new concepts in education with a view to increasing the level of our collaboration and collective impact.
Key themes for discussion in 2016 will include Marine Science in formal and informal education settings; EMSEA-Med and TransAtlantic EMSEA collaborations as well as Blue Growth in Industry and Ocean Literacy Principle 6: The Oceans & Human Health – what will be our legacy?
